🎯 What's your mission?
Your mission will be to support our Quality Control team as the Fragrance Raw Materials Expert, ensuring the quality and consistency of our raw materials. You will evaluate fragrance raw materials, investigate olfactive and analytical deviations, assess changes in composition or supplier origin, and determine their potential impact on fragrance formulas and finished products. Combining sensory evaluation with analytical data interpretation, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our creations.
🛠️Here’s what you’ll be rocking every day
• Perform fragrance raw material homologations to ensure conformity with approved specifications, reference standards, and internal quality requirements (organoleptic and physical-chemical analysis).
• Investigate and assess olfactive, analytical, physical or quality deviations in fragrance raw materials.
• Evaluate changes in raw material composition, supplier origin, manufacturing process, concentration, purity or impurity profile, and determine the potential impact on fragrance formulas and finished products.
• Support the technical decision-making process for acceptance, rejection, conditional release, rework or escalation of fragrance raw materials and batches.
• Interpret analytical and sensory data to provide clear technical conclusions and recommendations.
• Contribute to risk assessments related to raw material changes, shortages, supplier deviations, quality alerts or process modifications.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, deviation reports, analytical results, sensory evaluation notes and quality documentation in line with internal procedures.
• Manage and maintain retain samples, reference standards and raw material libraries to support future investigations and comparisons.
• Support the preparation, review and maintenance of SOPs, specifications, test methods and quality procedures related to fragrance raw materials
• Perform general laboratory maintenance.
✅ What you need to shine in this role
Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Food Science or a related scientific discipline.
Minimum 3 years of experience in the fragrance or flavour industry, ideally within Perfumery, Technical, Analytical or Quality Control functions.
Professional level of Spanish and English.
Knowledge of Gas Chromatography (GC) and its application to raw material analysis.
Ability to evaluate, identify and classify olfactive deviations in fragrance raw materials.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret both sensory and analytical data.
